Philanthropy Research Community
Updated: Sep 8
As part of our commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research, scholars focusing on philanthropy and civil society from a range of academic institutions come together through the Philanthropy Research Community. The community serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and constructive feedback through research presentations, collaborative discussions, and the development of opportunities for joint research projects. Researchers working in these fields are warmly invited to join the community.
Forthcoming Publication: Special Issue on Philanthropy
A special issue on philanthropy is currently being developed for the Mishpat, Hevra and Tarbut journal (Law, Society and Culture). The editorial board has announced its intention to publish a volume dedicated to Philanthropy in Israel and has invited scholars, authors, and creators to submit articles and other contributions for consideration.
The special issue is edited by Prof. Dafna Hacker, Prof. Amy Singer, and Adv. Galia Feit, and is expected to be published in early 2028. As part of the editorial process, participating contributors meet occasionaly in hybrid and in-person workshops designed to present research ideas, engage in collective discussion, and advance scholarly thinking on philanthropy and civil society.
