Global Philanthropy Environment Index - Israel

GPEI is a one-of-a-kind global report prepared by more than 100 country-level experts who have assessed the environment for philanthropy in 91 countries and economies by examining the incentives and barriers to giving. The evaluation of the countries and economies that make up the GPEI helps reveal the complex ecosystem of regulations, politics and cultures that shape global philanthropy.

The report on the Israeli environment for philanthropy in 2020 indicates that Israel maintains stability over the years, despite the political instability that has characterized Israel's governments in recent years. However, the report also points to aspects that require improvement in light of the relatively low scores that Israel received in indicators such as: tax incentives for giving, and cross-border giving Limits.
